Great Reasons To Eat In Season
Mother Nature has particularly designed each season to have different food produce. And all for great and healthy reasons! Isn’t it a wonder that nutrients present in season foods are exactly what our bodies need to stay fit, healthy and strong? Well, yes! Take pumpkin for example. It’s a traditional feature of autumn and it is rich in vitamins A and C, calcium, iron and folates – all needed to fight seasonal cold and flu.

Healthy and Natural Granola Bars Recipe
In between classes, homework, meetings at work or hanging around with friends, it may seem like there’s no time for healthy eating. And when it’s time to eat, it’s easier to turn to the nearest fast food or vending machine for potato chips or candy.
But remember, not matter how busy you get, you can still treat yourself to a healthy snack. In fact, if you are always on the go, it is important to eat healthy foods that will give you energy to keep going.
A granola bar is a good idea of a snack food that will keep you energized in between your hectic schedule. It can be easily packed and stored inside your bag, ready to be eaten anytime, anywhere. If you cook it yourself, you can choose the ingredients you put in it to make sure that you are eating healthy granola bars.

Go For High-Protein Breakfast
Protein is an essential nutrient that makes you feel full and gives you sustained energy. That’s why your breakfast should have lots of it.
Your choice of breakfast might be tasty but it probably lacks the amount of protein that will help you last through lunch break. If you are trying to lose weight, you would definitely want to avoid picking up unhealthy snacks before lunch. So to avoid unnecessary weight gain, make sure you eat a high-protein breakfast.

Looks like a very yummy and healthy treat!
Good work, Gwyneth (or more likely her crew). I will be making this, and by making this I mean attempting to make this likely getting food poisoning and throwing up all over.
SERVES: 4
TIME: 10 minutes
8 ounces fresh jumbo lump crab meat
1 lemon, cut in half
coarse salt
freshly ground black pepper
1/3 cup Veganaise or your favorite mayonnaise
1 tablespoon ketchup
1 small shallot, finely grated
2 avocadoes, cut in half, pits discarded
In a medium bowl, squeeze the juice from one half of the lemon over the crab and stir to combine with a large pinch of salt and a few grinds of black pepper. Whisk the Veganaise, ketchup and shallot together in a large bowl and fold in the crab, being sure not to break it up too much. Fill each avocado half with a quarter of the crab salad. Cut the remaining lemon into wedges and serve alongside the stuffed avocados.Posted on August 14, 2009 via Corn du Jour with 14 notes
